As a Catholic, it seems obvious to me from Q posts that the Church is involved in some way. Q told us it would break our hearts.

Perhaps the C controlling P is China controlling the Pope. The blackened left eye is a Chinese thing.

Saying that, Catholics know that leaders may be human, sinful, and fallible, but that has little to do with the Eucharist and our faith in Jesus Christ. For those who don’t know, we only believe the Pope is speaking infallibly, led by the Holy Spirit, when he speaks ex cathedra (”Ex cathedra” is a Latin phrase, meaning not “from the cathedral,” but “from the chair”.) According to Roman Catholic doctrine, a Pope speaking ex cathedra on issues of faith or morals is infallible. The Popes do it very rarely.

We will just have to pray for the Church. We know it will last til the end of time, but it may be a small, faithful remnant who can weather the scandal caused by evil people. Christ promised the Holy Spirit would always guide the Church and we believe He keeps his promises.

I am a mutt (as you would probably call me.LOL)from the Catholic Faith. I'm Lutheran so my believes are very close to yours. It saddens me too.
