Opinion only, from reading . . . Enforce the law. Front line border agents complaining they are being overruled and order to stand down by their superiors. Don't want to lose job . . . so they follow. Plus they were complaining not enough agents.

Oh I don’t dispute they are there to enforce the law and back up the agents. I just think the reason they will be there long term is to protect the wall builders.
The NG is on the border to do what Q has explained. To stop the flow of all those things he described. Not just illegal Mexicans. Whatever it is, has great urgency. No more waiting for the stupid
Congress dragging their feet. The flow must stop NOW. Also, we are closer to actual war than even we realize. Q seems to be telling that tale, if I read him correctly. I think the caravan was an excuse to do what the Donald wanted to do and now can without seeming extreme. This is my theory.
