Follow the White Rabbit? Tip Top nod? All pretty much Q related. Why a Commander? Maybe a nod at military operation/ military intelligence??? The rabbit would have to be someone very vetted to get so close to the President anyway so why not continue to give a nod to the game if everything has meaning by putting an operation guy in the suit.
I doubt the guy was asked but the whole thing was joked about while planning the nod to Q, and he volunteered. Trump has shown to much respect for the military for this to have a request.
