There was something by some Mexican saying they weren’t giving up and were going to reroute through Baja California or something like that. There was a thread on FR about it, I think. Or is that the tweet you’re referring to?
It was, AFAIK, just a single tweet by someone named Flores. Didn’t see anything about a left-hand turn to Baja, just that Mexico will stop them and offer humanitarian visas to *the vulnerable*, which did not sound like Mexican SOP, to me.
