-- Wonder who woke this sap up? Very curious where he found his set, after all this time. --

He's had 'em all along. Of all people, he understands patience, timing, the system, and snakes. He was in the DOJ, nominated for a judicial appointment, and not confirmed by the Senate. So he ran for Senate, and won.

He didn't give away the keys to the DOJ, not the way most people view the situation. Complicated business, giving people rope, taking risks. I don't see some 4-D chess or anything, people are unpredictable. So are events. Sessions was bound to "wake up" at some point. He'll deal with the mess.

What we see is filtered clean stuff, produced for public consumption. He's considerably more wily out of sight.

One things I believe is that Sessions is not playing this game so he can win. He is playing so the rule of law can win.

Meanwhile, I figure he is indifferent to public sentiment toward him, personally. He's a grown man, confident and secure. What do you figure the pro/con press has been in the last year? 80/20? It's going to get worse!

Sessions is playing it straight up.

Sessions is a white hat.

I do agree about Sessions mode of operation. We never heard from him in the Senate, until he had something to say and then he roared with facts (no small thanks to hyper researcher, the excellent Steven Miller) and leave a mark on the opposition.

I just can’t for the life of me figure out why he waited so long to step up and speak out. Hope one day he writes a book. Dying to know what happened that caused him to finally come out and call a shot or two.

If Rosenstein were still regularly taking the mic, I would still be thinking he had Jeff in the basement, but the last we heard from Robby was his public statement about his own recusal, should Mueller investigate FISA shenanigans, and the signatories thereof. (Comey, Yates and Rosenstein.)

That right there could be behind Jeff appointing Huber. He may have reason to believe Mueller would never go there, just in order to keep RR in the big chair and Jeff in the basement. Heck, I dunno. Just that... where did Jeff’s voice come from, all of a sudden? ( Rhetorical question as I don’t want to exhaust you.)
