I’ve been to other concerts and I ADORED Segovia. I sat there waiting for him with incredible expectations and it was one of the biggest disappointments in music I remember. Maybe he had an upset stomach.
And, no, a bored demeanor in a musician is not someone just lost in his art. As I watched him, I kept imagining he was counting how much his take home would be after taxes.
Do you think that all great musicians have all great performances? I’m not THAT awestruck by a famous name.
