My dad (who is 82) has a great story. Back when he was young, the drinking age was 16. So he went to his favorite bar one year, one he’d been going to for the past couple years, where he was on a first-name basis with the bartender.
His friends let the guy know he was there to celebrate his b’day so he asked him “How old are ya today, Jim?”
“Sixteen.”
