Burglary is “entry into a building illegally with intent to commit a crime, especially theft.”
Did these women enter the mosque illegally? There is no indication of that in this article — nothing about their picking a lock or going through the window or some such. By all appearances, they seem to have gone through an unlocked door.
Is that burglary? And what did they take? Some brochures. Usually houses of worship have brochures set out that they want people to take. They’re free. Were these brochures that were being offered for sale? There is no indication of that in the article. So why the charge of burglary? Is there something that the Washington Post is not telling us, or are these women being railroaded and made an example of for their “Islamophobia”?
Certainly they were rude and crude, and they behaved in an egregious manner. I’m not excusing or condoning their behavior. But the burglary charge is extremely curious, and they have every reason to be concerned about Sharia: the “information” about Sharia given by the Muslim spokesmen toward the end of this article is typically misleading. Iran and Saudi Arabia are two of the very few countries that implement Sharia’s barbaric and inhumane punishments because they are two of the very few countries that implement Sharia in its fullness. There isn’t some other, benign form of Sharia that is implemented elsewhere.
Everywhere Sharia has ever been implemented, there is the death penalty for apostasy, second-class status for women and non-Muslims, stoning for adultery, amputation for theft, etc. If Sharia ever came to the U.S., all that would be part of it here as well...

If they grabbed as much as they could carry, it’s like college leftists removing conservative newspapers. The newspapers may be free but it is still a kind of theft.

Doesn’t sound like the normal idea of burglary; sounds like an act of harassment, the kind of thing that leftists do all the time, and usually get away with. In fact, leftists routinely get away with much worse.
One is more guilty than the other.
Most brochures in mosques are how to instructions on bomb building, how to mass murder infidels, and serial killing for fun and allah.

Maybe the brochures had seditious literature and these ladies wanted to expose the mosque’s activities.
