His lawyer is the one who issued the statement. Likely has him on a contingent fee agreement, lawyer gets 30-40% of the pension (plus costs), if he recovers it. No additional skin off McCabe’s hide.

Massive smoke coming, that's for sure. You'd think the left would have its story prepared in advance of this event. They are all over the map right now, other than claiming it is Trump and Sessions being political, and McCabe is an innocent victim, the FBI is lilly-white.

He made threats about being fired. Said he wouldn’t be going down alone - just like Ron Brown did. He might want to find a safe space, stay off planes, and out of cars.
