WASHINGTON – Sen. Elizabeth Warren batted down calls for her to take a DNA test to prove her Native American heritage in an interview that aired Sunday.
“I know who I am. And never used it for anything. Never got any benefit from it anywhere,” Warren said of her ancestry on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
The Massachusetts Democrat has been under increased pressure to provide evidence of her Native American roots, with President Trump repeatedly mocking her as “Pocahontas” as recently as Saturday.
An editorial this month in Massachusetts’s Berkshire Eagle urged Warren to buy a DNA test for $99 to resolve the issue once and for all.
“All the senator needs to do is spit into a tube, wait a few weeks and get her answer,” the paper said.
Asked whether she’d take an ancestry test, Warren said she wants to hold onto the folklore of her parents’ love story...

sorry- meant ‘she wrote FOR a native American cook book’- submitted recipes and listed herself as cherokee as did her husband

Of course she has taken the test. If it had shown she had Indian blood, she would release it and do a war dance.
Seems to me, some enterprising conservative could follow her to a coffee shop and wait til she discards her coffee cup, and...

The lie has come to light; why would she help confirm it?
If it had come back showing her to not be a liar, you'd bet your last dollar that she would go ahead with a public test showing everyone the results and that she had been right all along.
That, or she can't find a DNA-testing lab that she can buy off...
This is what happens when they make certain people a protected class with extra rights and entitlements.

Warren knows she has been telling a lie to qualify for extra benifits
that go with minorities.
The fact that she refuses a DNA test proves she has been lying.
She is to the Indians as Rachel Dolzeal(sp?) is to the blacks.
If she had no more proof than her parent’s “love story,” she had no business passing herself off as a minority on her professional applications.

Just as an aside - we have a photograph taken over a 100 years ago of my mother’s great grandmother. She was Indian/Native American/First Nations - whatever the preferred term is. That makes my mother 1/16 NA. Disclaimer - I know next to nothing about DNA, but have read that women test differently sometimes as compared to men. We did the Ancestry. com DNA test due to my mom’s interest in genealogy. Results were lots of Irish/English/French, and “> 1% African. No NA percentage at all. So I don’t know how Ms. Warren would test, but I’m sure they would use someone more accurate than Ancestry. If she ever were to agree....
