Our lovely, good twelve year old boxer dog MOLLY died this morning in our living room. It was not a complete surprise. As I truly said to Molly this morning, Go ahead sweetie, you can go .. it seems like the time good for you and good for God. No time to lose.
She died about 30 seconds after I said that to her. Mary and I wept some .. held her paws with love and wished my nephew David were here with a beer or two.
Molly was a complete sweetheart . and forget about the God messages. Molly was clued into God before she was created . We all were.....and we all are.
Molly had God in her eyes. All dogs do. We all do. Let it show ..
Molly, on her last night on this earth, tired and weary as she was for about ten days . walked into my bedroom from the living room at 7:30 p.m . . her too-long toenails clicking on the hardwood floors as she purposefully proceeded .. she made the turn into my room as I only heard her, but, Mary actually was fortunate enough to see Molly come into my room.
Molly hadnt made that move to my room until after midnight for months . but just last night . she entered very much earlier, five hours earlier. I dont wonder why.
Goodbye . is a difficult sentiment for man or beast. Molly the pooch made it easy.
Mary (my wife) and I lived with this darling Molly for many years .. now lets all be just a little humble . and suggest that we all know absolutely NOTHING about God.

Bless all who deserve to be blessed and who are good to others WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING and to those who love the ones who deserve love .. (even a baserunner for your favorite team who gets thrown out on an attempted steal of third base with nobody out in a tied game in the last of the ninth!)
Be well .............
Deepest sympathies for your loss.
Ours is 15 and I relish every moment despite the near-incontinence.
Condolences on the loss of your fur baby. Blessings of peace to you and yours.
Lost my best friend of 16 years, please accept my heartfelt condolences in your time of sorrow.
Sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
I am convinced these pets are individually entrusted to us by our Creator, as are our children.
One of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my long life is to put down our terminal dog. Your post is reminiscent of my emotions at that time.
Time does help, and for us, another puppy at the right time to care for and enjoy.
prayers up
That’s a tough one, hang in there.
My deep sympathies.
I probably don’t need to suggest you both read or avoid the “Rainbow Bridge” depending on your tear-up level.
I fervently believe it BTW.
______________
I wish you well with that.. Animals are so beautiful. and seemingly innocent.
Love to you.
I’m sure she’s in heaven with lots of doggy treats and toys. And squirrels to chase.
My condolences on your loss.
She is waiting for you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Very sorry for your loss. :(
I’m so sorry.
There is a lot of love for our dogs and cats, and why shouldn’t there be?
My sympathies to your and your family. I do believe we see our loved ones in eternity, and that includes our loved pets.
Thank you. When may be the best or better time to TRY to get another pet?
Condolences upon the loss of Molly. She sounds like she was a good friend.
I’ve been through it a few times myself.
