It's because of toxic femininity and excess estrogen. This can be helped by having big strong manly men with lots of testosterone in the workplace.

When there is no leader infighting begins. Taking men out of leadership roles is what does it.

My wife worked with a woman that everyone referred to as Bitchy Lady.
Hardly a day went by when there wasnt a story about her.
A woman complained to the boss she could not sleep at night.

I work in a professional setting with Millennials, and Xr’s alike. I see some cattiness between the women, but nothing out of bounds. And, it’s always performance based. Never something about appearance or personal life etc. There’s only one “little miss nose ring” that bothers me. She’s so out of place with that stupid nose ring, but she’s not my direct report. I feel like telling her to take that stupid thing off, it’s distracting and unprofessional. I guess I’m the catty one.

I think the whole problem is rooted in an inability to use the English language correctly. The word "incidence" should not be made plural by adding an "s" to the end because the base word already means the rate or frequency of an occurrence. This is as would be expected in an article about a study using a survey instrument for data gathering. If the study included anecdotes of how women are getting bitchier in the workplace, these stories would be reported as "incidents", not "incidences". Typical error when attempting to turn a colloquial usage from hearing a word used into a formal usage in a written article. If the writer is merely repeating a usage of the word from the academic paper, then shame on the professor and the co-authors.
Proving my point, see how this one word, used by a female writer, has made me bitchier and I'm not even a woman!!

Not exactly breaking news, men do sometimes act not nicely. Not that I have ever not acted nicely. Oh no, I’ve been a model of gentlemanly decorum. :)

Aw c’mon. They’re just teeny tiny mines. Just for fun.

I’ve only had one woman supervisor, and she was ok. My wife had women supervisors who were real jackasses.

My first boss, that just happened to be a woman, was as evil as Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada.

We’ve got one in my small office that calls herself, and seems to take pride in, being a *itch. She’s a chronic complainer (which she and others justify as her job is “high stress”) and can be pretty rude. Another co-worker who happens to be her good friend is laid back but is a hypocrite because she will call out perceived rudeness by others, especially towards the friend, without seeing the obvious flaw in her logic lol.

If you knew you couldn’t get fired without suing for discrimination, you might not care about maintaining a work ethic anymore.

A cowbell is the perfect companion to a nose ring.
