So, each of the different-colored beefy grex beans produces a different plant? I thought you said something to that effect....
Not quite. Each plant will be slightly different, but it's not based on the color.
You'll get pole beans, you'll get bush beans. You'll get some that are in-between. You'll get solid green pods, you'll get solid yellow pods. You'll get striped pods. You'll get white flowers. You'll get purple flowers. You'll get yellow flowers. You'll get pink flowers. You'll get two-tone flowers. You'll get some that produce one flush and then quit. You'll get some that keep producing until a freeze. When you shell the ripe pods, you'll get every color and pattern it's possible for a bean to have, and some of them will change color as they dry.
But they will all taste like beef.

It sounds exciting, because I wont know exactly what I will get other than it will all taste like beef. I was telling my friend about it and he was intrigued. So I sent him that website so he could order some.
Im going to plant them at the end of the garden closest to the house, so I can see them. Then Ill plant the scarlet runner beans somewhere in the middle, his website said those dont Cross pollinate with any other types of beans. And then I got one other type from him, a Romano style one that Ive never tried. Ill put that at the end of the deer garden and everything should be far enough apart. Ill just have to hope the deer leave it alone though. We had really good luck last year planting them their own garden of corn. They ate every single kernel but left ours alone. So they might think those beans are theirs also.
