So big government, not small government?
False premise: these people have had nothing to do with making government smaller.
I’m all for small government. Like the kind President Trump is creating by doing away with regulations and regulator agencies. What I’m not so fond of is tea party favorites like...oh, who would be a great example where one has cut the size of government, or ? Michelle Bachman retired, Ken Cuccinelli lost his bid for Governor, Jim Demint quit to run the Heritage Foundation, Bob McDonnell was convicted on federal corruption charges, and don’t forget, John Kasich ran that year by saying, I was in the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party.” Joe Walsh, Tommy Thompson, Allen West - all got beat. And then the darling of ‘em all: Scott Brown.
So, who’s that leave, Ted Cruz? I’m having trouble remembering his small government successes. Rand Paul, who I will say is trying, but has been ineffective. We got some great Governors out of the deal like Scott Walker, but we all saw how that worked when he tried running for President. Republican Governors are accomplishing far more reform than anyone at the federal level except for the current Potus.
