BTW, I believe that technology now allows the end of public schools and universities as we know them, but the idea of staying home and raising/teaching children makes most mothers - at least the ones I interact with - freak out. Perhaps I am being uncharitable, but a lot of parents are willing to put their kids damn near anywhere for eight hours.
