Didn’t it take over 20 minutes for them to show up on the scene?

They give a lot quicker response when a busybody calls the cops because they see someone they don’t recognize walking down the street.

They’re super fast for “officer down” calls. Not much else.

I hadn't heard that. I know that was the approximate timeline for Sandy Hook. I'm friends with the local HS security liaison. We're a fairly rural community, just County Sheriff's deputies and State Patrol out this way. My friend has been told by the Sheriff's dept that if there is an incident at the HS about the best he can hope for is a couple of deputies there within 10 minutes, although it could be up to 20 minutes. When I help him chaperone HS events he and I make "other arrangements" to ensure the safety of the kids. We don't rely on LE getting there until it is all over.
