Ah....used his face as a weapon.
I’d bet he’s so ignorant he didn’t learn a dang thing from it.
2/20/2018:
An Oregon State Police trooper was dragged along Interstate 5 during a wild traffic stop where fists flew, cars collided and a fleeing suspect tried to ditch a brick of cocaine into a creek, police said.
The brouhaha began around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday when Trooper Travis Peterson pulled a speeding Nissan Altima over just south of Medford, court documents show.
The car, driven by Giovanni Dante White, 24, reeked of marijuana when Peterson approached it, a police report alleges.
White, whose hands and legs shook uncontrollably during the encounter, would not allow Peterson to search his vehicle, police said.
As the trooper waited for backup, the driver tried to make a getaway, court documents show.
Peterson reached inside the window of White’s car to stop the suspect, police said. White responded by punching the trooper in the face and neck. Peterson struck back with a closed right fist, according to the police report.
That’s when White stepped on the gas, dragging the trooper down the freeway before he broke free and returned to his cruiser, court documents allege.
Peterson, a nine-year veteran of the force, suffered minor injuries, a state police spokeswoman told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
The suspect exited off of I-5 and promptly smashed into another car at the intersection of Ellendale Drive and Barnett Road in Medford, according to police.
Police said they later found White, of Lynnwood, Washington, at nearby Bear Creek trying to toss a 2.2-pound brick of cocaine into the water. He was arrested and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
White faces felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing cocaine, attempting to elude police in a vehicle and assault on a police officer, along with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and hit-and-run.
A judge on Wednesday set his bail at $500,000.
It looks like the police didn’t appreciate his actions, and let him know.
