The more homos in them the more likely they are to get nominated.
I wonder what the attendance numbers were for that silly WaPo retro fantasy involving Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep? Probably not that impressive either, eh?
Yep. My wife and I now immediately turn off the movie/show once the homosexual enters the scene. Because of Amazon Prime free tv and movies, we’ve been exposed to a lot of modern TV shows, It is shocking how many of them feel the need to include homosexual characters.
And then there was the one we thought might be interesting until we learned pretty fast that the lead character was homosexual. It wasn’t very good anyway so it was easy to turn off. One Mississippi. Interesting concept. Lousy show.
All those films are about gay cowboys eating pudding.
I guess they forgot that really totally awesome academy award winning movie "Titanic".
Cartman was ahead of his time.
Darkest Hour was beautifully shot. I’m glad it I saw it on the big screen. I loved Dunkirk too. Haven’t seen the others. I don’t generally bother with movie trash.
It was 20 years ago.
/src on/Don’t worry “Black Panther” will sweep the Oscars next year./src off/

124 million U.S. gross so far ...
There was a thread a month or so ago about famous Oscar losers (Gone With the Wind) and not-so-memorable winners. My favorite Oscar-winning stinker - Chariots of Fire
Titanic was the year one critic dubbed the year that movies and academy awards became dictated by teenage girls and teenage boys trying to get lucky. I did not see anything special about it. Definitely not a movie worth watching twice.
The ratings for the Oscars could be in the toilet. How many people are going to sit through a 3 to 4 hour telecast, going past midnight in the east coast, to see which movie or actors/actresses they never saw and don’t know anything about, have won Oscars????
So basically it's OFF.
I’ve never watched an awards show so I guess I won’t know what I’m missing. A bunch of narcissists patting each other on the backsides.
So basically it’s OFF.
It’s old stuff. :)
It haseems grossed $77 million domestic so about 8 million tickets have been sold in the US/Canada.
Tha’s the global gross. Domestic is $77 million.
As the blockbusters become more and more beholden to the beat book the kind of experimentation that leads to best pictures is being relegated more and more to “niche”. Hollywood used to be willing to experiment on big budget movies, but not anymore.
