Yikes - I always thought Jupiter was way below ice cold
Very surprising. And here I thought I knew my planets.
Nah, it’s Saturn (and the other gas giants) that are cold. Jupiter is insanely hot and horrifyingly radioactive, as it came the closest of any of the planets to becoming a star. It’s still radiating heat from its accretion.
