‘Black Panther’ Review: The Movie’s Hero is Trump, the Villain is Black Lives Matter
Breitbart ^ | February 16, 2018 | John Nolte

Posted on 02/17/2018 8:09:32 AM PST by EdnaMode

There is a whole lot to like about Marvel’s $200 million Black Panther, and almost as much not to like. For starters, director and co-writer Ryan Coogler does an A+ job of world building (more on this later). In addition, the soundtrack and score also deserve an A+. Then there are the actors, the best cast yet assembled in all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (by far). Black Panther is set in the fictional Wakanda, an idyllic country hidden in the heart Africa thanks to an alien metal called vibranium. This resource (delivered eons ago by way of a meteor) not only gives Wakanda the ability to disguise itself as a third-world country (and therefore remain blissfully ignored by the outside world), but to enjoy an extraordinary standard of living through the miracles of technology and science.

The real Wakanda looks like an African country — open markets, vibrant colors, the architecture, the love of long-held traditions… But if you look closer, everyone enjoys the lifestyle of a Silicon Valley billionaire.

Wakanda is ruled by King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), who is also known as the Black Panther. T’Challa is big on border security, believes Wakanda and Wakandans should come first, and fiercely protects his country’s culture from outsiders, including refugees. If this is all starting to sound familiar, it should. Also like President Donald Trump, T’Challa’s beliefs are not based on race. This is not a “black thing.” This is a culture/survival thing.

It's a comic book movie. About a comic book world.

Hmmm... did they accidentally make a conservative movie?

See post 10. Black Panther was originally white.

I only saw the trailer and I couldn’t understand the dialogue due to the bizarre accent so I had to skip the movie. The whole idea that a technologically advanced civilization could thrive under a centralized tribal monarchy conflicts with what we know from history. China tried to remain isolated and centrally controlled and was soon eclipsed technologically by the West once the Enlightenment and Democratic revolutions freed human minds and capital to achieve their individual potential. The premise of this movie is a throw back to the divine rights of kings and rule by tribes and castes. Sorry my King but this isn’t how human progress works.

Yeah I was surprised too. I’m sure some will protest it.

I love it when the left gets red-pilled like this! I just watched the movie knowing some were saying it’s a nod to President Trump and in a way it was. The villain is like Hitler who wants his race/people to rule the world thinking they have better weapons so that makes them the best.

In reality the best weapon, as any good soldier will tell you, is his mind. The physical weapons are just tools to do the job.

What do you suppose would happen in the real world outside of Hollywood if a meteor of gold fell on any country, African or otherwise?

Outside of Hollywood? Not much I suppose. Irrespective of the effects on the gold markets, probably 99% wouldn't think to try to get a chunk. But there would be that 1%, outside of Hollywood, who would try. And likely get shot.

Inside of Hollywood? It would be Trump's fault should the thing kill anyone on the ground. And if not, they'd make up a story or two about how many died. Just a couple ideas off the top of my head.

What's your take?

>>See post 10. Black Panther was originally white.

Was he? Is that an early Marvel Comics Black Panther? What publishing company produced the white Black Panther? Odd that the picture does not offer any information.

Sounds like the movie is consistent with African progressivism. If western civilization had only stayed out of Africa try to imagine what Africans would have accomplished. Sarc

T’Challa is big on border security, believes Wakanda and Wakandans should come first, and fiercely protects his country’s culture from outsiders, including refugees.

The Wakandans are intensely racist, in the sense of only caring about their own tribe, and to hell with everybody else.

they make movies about Europe from 400 years ago, they still have to find a way to shoehorn at least one black person into the cast.”

Brittania is a historical fantasy series - not reality

Anyway, to reality, in 43 BC, the only centurions in the Roman army were Roman citizens, Italics or at best Etruscans. No Gauls, no Phoenicians, no Nubians.

By 300 AD that would change and you could have Nubians who became citiznes under Caracalla's policy
