A driver in an SUV here in Houston hit a car while cutting a guy off and told the cops it was the other guy that hit him. The other guy had a dash cam and showed the cops the video. The SUV driver was arrested and taken into custody.

I’ve got one made to integrate with my car’s mirror mount, sitting in the garage waiting for me to make time to install it. I may get to it tomorrow.

I mount a Go Pro for every trip we take - even short ones. So many distracted drivers, and our state just legalized marijuana - want proof when one of them slams into my truck.

The video is great and can zoom in to see faces and license plate numbers on saved files.

My wife drives waaaay more than I do.
She has one.
Loves it.

It records the last 60 seconds of everything on a loop. It can be saved.

A Ford Escape.
I have one, front wheel drive and a bit top heavy.

When my son totaled my HHR I went looking for a good used car.
A family friend works for a used car lot so I called him up.
He had an 09 Escape Limited they had just taken on a trade.

It had all the features my 2018 Camry rental car had with a lot more room.
Plus low mileage, only 76,000 miles, and towing package, plus I got it $2,500 below book value.
Getting 28 mpg with It.

I won’t be taking any sharp turns or winding roads at high speed because the height makes it top heavy.
It does make it easier for me to get in and out of though.

As if California has a lock on road rage or idiot drivers! The ability, or lack of same is greatly on display as residents of other states vacay in California.

If I were the guy from the SUV I would argue that I was just trying to get away and misjudged the space between the Beemer and the barrier.

The driver in the BMW was lucky he pulled his spitting crap in California, in Texas or some other states the SUV driver would have just shot him.
