Media ignoring 1 crucial factor in FL school shooting (psychotropic drugs)
WND ^ | 2/15/18 | David Kupelian

Here we go again. A horrific mass shooting occurs. Everyone is in shock and grief. Democrats blame guns and Republicans. Pundits urge the public, “If you see something, say something.” And everyone asks, “Why?”

As information about the perpetrator emerges, a relative confides to a newspaper that the “troubled youth” who committed the mass murder was on psychiatric medications – you know, those powerful, little understood, mind-altering drugs with fearsome side effects including “suicidal ideation” and even “homicidal ideation.”

Yet the predictable response from the press is always the same – not only a total lack of curiosity, but disdain for any who ask the question, as though connecting psychiatric meds to mass shootings is pursuing a “conspiracy theory.”

Here’s a good way to tell whether or not something is a conspiracy theory: If it’s true, it’s not a conspiracy theory.

In the case of Nikolas Cruz, his [aunt]…told the Miami Herald that she believed Cruz was on medication to deal with his emotional fragility.

[SNIP]

Fact: A disturbing number of perpetrators of school shootings and similar mass murders in our modern era were either on – or just recently coming off of – psychiatric medications.

I’ve always been anti-drug. I’m doubling down on that.

I am anti (illegal) drug as well. But there are cases in which nutso behavior results from individuals being OFF their meds. It's got to be watched carefully and individually. That is time consuming and costly.

I hate when people post worthless clickbait.

This is a very important debate to have. There is absolutely no longer any doubt about the connection of such drugs to mass murder. Because the topic is of no interest to you, is no reason for you dismiss to it out of hand. That makes you part of the problem, not the solution.

What the media is ignoring is where was this shooter adopted from? Was it from a Russian orphanage, where children with fetal alcohol syndrome get placed?

Other than a comment by a family member (both step-mother/step-father are dead), there is no proof on this. I would imagine that the cops have gone through the house and are aware of his medication. They aren’t going to discuss it.

You can go down the listing of every single mass-killer over the past forty years, and they fit into four patterns (use of psychotropic drugs, schizophrenic without any drugs, use of opioids, or use of steroids). Every single mass event leads back to these four conditions.

Even if you go to Europe and try to use the ISIS attacks in France...most of these guys were using Captagon pills. Even if you use the Norway attack (Anders Breivik)...he used an extreme stimulant before killing those 77 people.

It mostly all leads back to drug use or schizophrenic problems.

IMO, the crucial factor ignored is...these punks don’t go where they’re gonna face an American w/a gun!

Drugs no drugs, Guys& Gals w/guns are already preventinf robberies, shooting on the streets and across America! Because they run into someone there w/a gun!
This will also work in the schools when the call goes out for volunteers w/guns...thousands of Americans (NOT AINOs) will respond! Then! the bad guys day is made!

As me old DI was fond of saying back in 1952...Very F’n Simple!
Simplicity and Continuity!

Now...Get TRUMP.45 THE OUTSIDER (No Politics/No GubMint!)to sound the call and GTF outta the way!
;)

It’s not the psychotropic drugs. It’s the Gerber Creamed Spinach.

Each of those killers ate Gerber Creamed Spinach as toddlers, so it must be the spinach, right.

BTW, Scientology is behind much of the anti-psychotropic drug movement.... and I don’t think we have to wonder why.

.... and she had no symptoms that caused the prescribing of the meds in the first place?

Perhaps it is an important debate, but truth is an important element of any debate, and the truth is that the anti-psychoactive drug movement was founded by and let by the “Church of Scientology”

from Salon:

It may be easy to dismiss Tom Cruise’s recent outbursts against psychiatry as the ravings of an egomaniacal celebrity. Comedians have certainly had a field day with Cruise, a fervent disciple of the Church of Scientology, ever since he scolded Brooke Shields for taking prescribed medication to treat her postpartum depression and lectured Matt Lauer, host of the “Today” show, that psychiatry was a “pseudoscience” and antidepressant drugs were worthless because there is “no such thing as a chemical imbalance.” “No?” wisecracked Lewis Black on “The Daily Show,” watching a video clip of Cruise berating Lauer, “Then what do you call what’s happening to you right now?”

But the Church of Scientology’s war on psychiatry is no joke. For decades, Scientologists have maintained that the very notion of mental illness is a fraud. They base this belief on the views of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who proclaimed that psychiatry was an evil enterprise, a form of terrorism, and the cause of crime. Now, they’re attempting to enshrine their contempt for psychiatry in laws across the country.

Recently, Scientologists have promoted legislation in Florida, Utah and New Hampshire that seeks to discredit psychiatry and drug therapies, especially for kids. The laws would penalize, even criminalize, schoolteachers who recommended mental health treatments to students or parents. At the same time, Scientologists have infiltrated the public schools, promoting a drug abuse program that presents information — that drugs like marijuana and LSD, for instance, accumulate in body fat and create constant cravings — roundly dismissed by medical experts.

Psychotropic drugs are a massive problem. People get suicidal thoughts and shoot up schools. I thought this article would reveal Cruz was also taking anti-depressants or went off them.

But the article didn’t say crap. Crap article. I want to know when we learn something concrete, not speculate on it.

I didn’t click the article to debate the topic.

I thought it would reveal Cruz was on medication. That is what the title implied. Let me know when we know something concrete about if he was on medication or not. I don’t want to debate it, I want to KNOW.

The U.S. TV news media causes these mass shootings.

You repeatedly show a Muslim Koran verses and then several Muslims fly jets into the world trade Center.

You repeatedly show a mentally deranged loser on drugs images of mass shootings, the fame and the “glory” the news media grants to a mass shooter and you get that loser to do a mass shooting.

I've tried to explain this for years on this forum and elsewhere . Not many people seems to get this. hmmmm

I know a person who took Xanax. She thought it made things better but in reality her personality changed when she was on the drug. She would speak incoherently and have episodes of extreme anger and fighting with others. She would shed her clothes without any awareness of others being in her presence. Finally she would blackout and not remember anything in the morning.

EXACTLY, it wasn’t that he was on medication that made him do it. It was that he wasnt on the right medication, or enough of it. I get so tired of people blaming the medication, its the underlying mental illness thats the problem.
