Thanks for posting. Very interesting, and was discovered by thinking outside the box in terms of the methodology used. Seems to be very good science, and potentially a very significant finding.

1. Does this mean moms can now stop yelling “Johnny, don’t put that dirt in your mouth!”
2. Will these dirt-living good bugs counteract the flesh-eating bugs in the same dirt?
Grand Parents always said ,eating dirt is good for him
Mama always said we each eat a peck of dirt in our lifetime.
(She got so tired of scrubbing potatoes.)
Proof playing outside and eating mud pies is good for kids.
Will providing these drugs be dirt cheap??

So, they are gonna recreate dirt so they can charge us a bunch a money because they got a patent on dirt?
During sandlot games; if you got scratched or scraped, you were told to rub dirt in it and get back to playing. Of course you’d catch flak from Mom when you got home too. Now we can all go collectively stick our tongues out at our mothers and show them this article. Bring some dirt to rub into the wounds for after you do this though.
Hence the quip, “put some dirt on it - it’ll be OK”...
