In order to send private messages, if you will look at the bottom of a post of the person you want to write to privately, you will see a line of menu options. They read:
Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1284 | View Replies
“Post reply” is what you just did to post on the thread
“Private reply” is the option which allows you to write to a person privately, or off thread. We also call it “FReepMail.”
The number refers to the post number to which the post you are reading is a reply. For example: If I see your post 12 and reply to it, at the bottom of my reply will be the number 12, which is what I was responding to. You can click on that number to easily see the wording of that post.
“View replies” - you can see what other people have said in response to a post. It can save time and even embarrassment. Many times I’ve forgotten to look at the replies and later realize that I have echoed what somebody already said! LOL! happens all the time and is no big deal.
