Yeah I guess they are all happy because of the sky high murder rate, the bankrupt State of Illinois, and the high taxes. Who could ask for more. 8>)
“...Time Out magazine’s City Life Index. “
More like just “Out” magazine.
As long as one stays in this general area, right in here. Anything, below the stereo, and on this side of the Bicentennial glasses. Anything between the ashtray, and the thimbles. Anything in this three inches. Right in here, this area, that includes the Chiclets, but not the erasers.
If you tell a person in a foreign country you are from Chicago they usually smile and say “ahhh! Chicago... Ratatatatat!!!
And the west side. Other than that, Chicago is a very nice city. It really is.
That's because they think Al Capone is still there.
Was Baltimore second?
That’s because they think Al Capone is still there.
Same concept just different players
With that disclaimer, I can believe it.
Gotta give that city props for the food.
Time Out magazine?? You cannot argue with that!
“Do high taxes, out of control crime and poor schools make a place livable?”
Paradise for democrats.
“I can totally agree with this article after spending tons of time in Chicago over a 2 summers about 10 years ago.”
I grew up there...on the south side no less. Used to be livable and fun up until the ‘60’s. These a assholes are half a century behind the times.
“And the west side. Other than that, Chicago is a very nice city. It really is. “
So you don’t mind the filthiest most corrupt lsft wing democrat political machine in the world?
I’m not worthy enough to live in such an exalted city.
“So you dont mind the filthiest most corrupt lsft wing democrat political machine in the world?”
The article is about CITIES. Cities in the US all tend to be run by democrat political machines, so that really isn’t much of a consideration if you are going to judge between them.
Time Out does not report that it is talking about the one Chicago that does have some great night life, not the other Chicago (the Chicago neighborhoods) that have a deplorable violent crime rate. Yes, there are really two Chicagos under one city government. I’ve been there a number of times and enjoyed the Chicago I visited while I saw the Chicago I avoided.
Is ‘Time Out’ a magazine for criminal thugs? If it is, I’ll agree....
Guess it all depends on the guidelines(if any) that they use for these surveys.
