Doesn’t matter, there are thousands of at grade RR crossing in this country that have no safety features at all. To blame a cross-arm is like blaming a malfunctioning safety for you shooting yourself.
I love trains but AMTRAK sucks
Half of congress, some with their families, were on the train. The roads along the route were supposed to be closed as a matter of security. So how did a vehicle get anywhere near the tracks?
I dont believe in these kinds of coincidences...this reeks.
We can’t be sure at this stage. But this *may* have been a serious-yet-deniable attempt to wipe out half of congress.
The Deep State is composed of increasingly desperate psychopaths. Derailing *this* train would have also derailed the Trump train.

Very Simple remedy to these unknowns.
Have our stellar FBI do intensive background checks on the garbage workers and the garbage company.
Througly interrogate the survivors on the truck.

That truck was on a steep inclined road approaching that crossing which is located just below the crest of a hill. The crossing can’t be seen coming from that direction until one gets to the top of the hill.
CSX - that company has been pretty badly mismanaged by its board the last few years, trying for short term profit over long term health.
They’ll probably find some low level manager to sack.
I’m so confused. Why was this guy even sitting in the vehicle? Was he caught completely unaware? If the other two guys were in the truck with him, how could they have survived? And if the other 2 guys had exited before the crash, why didn’t this third guy? Either they all saw the train coming or they didn’t. Either all three would have died or all 3 would have exited and lived. No?
The man seen examining the crossing arm was likely Secret Service, not from Amtrak. This long-time untended to malfunction makes the story even sadder. (THO, knowing that the arm didn’t function properly, the driver could have asked one of his passengers to get out of the truck to check out the rails to see if there was anything coming) Just a sad, sad story.

Why would families, with kids, during a school day, when Congress was SCHEDULED to be in session, be on a train headed for a continuation of government location?
I was listening to live coverage on Fox Wednesday morning, and they were on the phone with a congressman’s wife, who was on the train. She said, “I don’t understand how this could have happened. All the roads were supposed to have been blocked off ahead of us, and there were helicopters flying on ahead of us to watch for any problems, so I just don’t understand how this happened”.
I have not heard one word about that woman’s remarks since then. And then, today, the NTSB has already completed their investigation, and reports no foul play???? Give me a break!
