Enough. The State of the Union Address has devolved from a sober state occasion to political spectacle and ultimately a low class circus. It is beneath the dignity of the Presidency (and Congress though I doubt anyone there really cares). Trump should return to the venerable practice of sending the message in writing. The modern practice of delivering a speech is yet another innovation of Woodrow Wilson, my nominee for the worst President in American history.
It hasn’t happen yet! How can you get upset about it?
As long as Trump reads out loud the 4 page memo, I’ll be very interested in this SOTU speech.
Hey... this is the 21st century... send them a podcast, or whatever they call the video streams these days!

Has become? Is this a 50 year old article? One of the most pleasurable things for me of hitting adulthood, moving away, and gaining control of the remote was the ability to not watch political crap. SOTUs, conventions, speeches, debates, forget about it. Close to 30 years without a political dog and pony show, the good life.
I think President Trump should tweet the SOTU report to congress.

This year, I have been excited for a week now waiting for the firework show! The Dems and the media deserve everything that explodes in their faces that they can not block Americans from hearing raw! Nobody voted Trump for his dignity and elegance, they voted for him to go to war on the "elite" that has no place in American government or politics if we are going to keep our freedoms!

Could not agree with you more. The nation would be better off had Woody Woodpecker been our 28th president.
