(Meredith) – The owner of a Chick-Fil-A in North Dakota has apologized after a mother claims the restaurant kicked her out for breastfeeding without a cover.
Macy Hornung said she was nursing her child at a Fargo Chick-Fil-A when the franchise owner approached her Saturday evening. She said the owner asked her to cover up or leave the restaurant.
“I was showing no more than the upper portion of my breast, barely more than what was visible in my shirt, and (she) asked me to cover,” Hornung wrote on Facebook. “I tried to explain that I couldn’t because my baby refuses to be covered.”
The mom said the owner also reminded her that men and children were dining at the restaurant.
“I said they could practice the simple art of looking away… She told me if I chose not cover, then she would have to ask me to leave,” Hornung wrote.
Instead of complying with the owner’s request, Hornung decided to pack up her things and leave. Her husband, Casey Hornung, said he was outraged over the incident.
"I was angry for the words that woman spoke,” he told WDAY-TV. “I was angry at the way my wife was treated. I was worried about her, and how she was feeling.”
The couple shared their story on Facebook when they returned home, and the post quickly went viral.
Hundreds of people who sided with the mom left bad reviews on the restaurant’s Facebook page and gave the location one-star ratings.

A few have suggested the same. But since Chik-fil_A is known to be family friendly I don’t think hoping they would get outraged about a nursing mother likely. Now it would be different if someone did a “They refused to serve us because we are gay.” set up.
“Yes because only model thin, beautiful, glamorous woman should be allowed in public let alone to nurse their children. What is this recent crap about putting down woman for their appearance when their appearance has no issue with the news about them?”
When someone decides to throw stones condemning some one else’s flaws they are exposing themselves to cross examination... Hence the adage re glass houses...

Thanks. I was beginning to think the only validity woman have for many on FR is based on how she looks. I am no beauty but nor do I scare buzzards off of the rendering wagon. So where does that leave me? Do my conservative views and Christian world view take a back seat to my lack of stunning beauty? It is such BS.
She probably went there in order to breast feed while sitting somewhere dry and comfortable (rather than, say, outside on a windy/rainy park bench).

No you are not the only one! I breastfeed my daughter when she was an infant but if we were out in public and she got hungry we either went to a restroom or out to our car. I’m sorry but common decency should dictate that a woman doesn’t take her boob out in public and let her child suckle from it.
So the restaurant did not have a ladies room or was she too lazy to get up and use it. Don’t let the woman in the restaurant again until her kids reach age 21.

Jesus said to be as shrewd as a serpent and as gentle as a dove. It you decide to be as gentle as a serpent don’t expect no one will return the favor.
I am pretty sure serpents are only gentle when hibernating. I live in a pretty warm climate so not much chance of that.
