Well, he was staying at the Four Seasons resort in that photo from July. Wonder what kind of mischief he was plotting.
Good catch on spotting the same shirt. I wonder if the media was using an old photo for the visit this weekend.
Did he have his Energizer Bunny along or did the hosts supply an “alternate power source” ???
I think Treasure Island is a little east of Alcatraz. My Pop was stationed there in 1950. I was stationed in San Diego in 1981, and don’t recall Treasure Island. I was familiar with Treasure Island in Vegas :-).
I have been looking st that picture some more, and I think it was photoshopped.
Look at BC’s shoulders. They look odd.
Also, look at how the picture is being held. Very awkward pose.

Hmmm - well a big whoops on my part. For some reason I thought it was down around San Diego.
Billy had previously transferred such duel-tech authority from the State Dept. to the Commerce Dept. The Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown was said to becoming forward with a strong objection. He died in a controversial plane crash, that by all reports shouldn't have happened. An initial military forensic examiner claimed there was what looked like a bullet hole in his skull. She said it was very rounded with clean edges, unlike some metal from the crash. She was never heard from since. There was no autopsy of a Cabinet Secretary. Unheard of.
I'm not a conspiracy type, but I firmly believe that Billy and Hilly are the cause of some deaths. Vincent Foster's death made NO since to the average bear. Wrapped in a carpet with WH fibers on it? There’s no way that photo is from Hawaii. Bill and the Beast are dressed for January weather in Chappaqua. Look at Slick’s jacket, it probably weighs 5 lbs.
There is a Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay about midway between Oakland and San Francisco. The Bay Bridge is anchored, in the middle, on T.I.
Back in the mid 1950’s It was a transient processing base for Navy personnel entering into or going out of CONUS to duty destinations in the Pacific. Sailors could not even go to hell without first going to T.I. for processing which took at least a week.
I came into Oakland airport and rode a train out to T.I., yes! a train. The lower level of the Bay Bridge was, at that time, a train track.
The base also had a simulated ship called Buttercup which was a mock up of an engine room. There we underwent training for damage control by going into the engine room. which was actually flooding, and were to stop the flooding from ruptured bulkheads and pipes. COLD and wet!
Also we were to go into the engine room and fight an actual oil fire in which the bilges were aflame bulkhead to bulkhead. The idea was to sweep the flames ahead of the fire party and cool it with water spray. It worked.
Also fighting a lee fire in which a open top tank about 20 ft. in diameter and 6 ft. high was set afire and we, the hose team, were to go into the fire, which was blowing parallel to the ground, put a foam nozzle over the edge of the flaming tank in order to smother the flames with foam. Two hoses, one with an extended spray applicator to create a protective cocoon around the team and the second hose with the foam nozzle. Don’t panic and try to run out of the protection cocoon of the spray applicator because we were surrounded by fire and would quickly become toast.
Later, as a civilian employee of Military Sealift Command, I attended ABC class at T.I, which included the gas chamber.
Treasure Island was an unpleasant experience, but I suppose a necessary one. It certainly provided this old man with lasting memories.

TI is where my Pop shipped out on the way to Korea. Glad he was a sailor, or I might not have come about!
I was in the Corps, and always shipped out of Little Creek, VA. Dang “Gator Navy”!
