And in case you get bored... this should help.

Just be careful of what room service left... while you were at the movies.

Yeah, that’s really believable action. It would be nice to see a movie made by people who knew more about combat than they do about comic books.

My main issue was her continual ability to beat up men physically.

This bothers me in movies and TV shows, too. If the woman in question is an Israeli badass trained in Krav Maga like Ziva on NCIS or Gal Gadot in real life fighting against some untrained or out of shape schlubs, I can see it. If they are fighting badass men trained in the same way, it's pretty lame.

The guy in back in that scene actually has his gun in his hand and just fiddles with the silencer while she's shooting everybody. They could have at least showed him trying to pull the gun out of his waistband. Attaching your silencer is less important than getting shot. And he seems to be taking aim at one of the other guys.

But I do agree that Charlize is smokin' hot in this movie.

The genders(whatever that means now) are equal, but if you defend yourself and retaliated against a woman that is hitting you, you are a monster.

It is unfortunate that the Hollywood illusion that women are just as strong as men and can kick their a$$, and more dangerously, that men should not fight back when under attack, is supported by all the sickening soyboy/beta male/white knights.

I watched this movie and found it quite entertaining. I am a man however that can be swayed by the opposite sex’s ways obtained by centuries of natural selection and practice.

If there’s no CGI there, then they should have used some to put Charlize Theron’s face on that dude in the wig!

And before you jump on me for it, shows and movies do things like that all the time. The most disappointing episode of the old show The Avengers was a fight scene where Diana Rigg was clearly replaced by a dude in a wig. They replaced Patrick McNee pretty obviously in another fight scene, too.

Every time they have a woman beating up men, all I can see is propaganda. The entire point of a movie is "suspension of disbelief", but having women beat up men is a deal killer for me.

An average man could beat the sh*t out of Charlize Theron. This notion of women standing up to men has been tested repeatedly. Leg sweeps won't work, and men can take the best of their punches and just wade through them.

I'm sick of the Super Super girl power propaganda crap trying to push back reality. It's like saying a "transgender" is the same thing as a female. It's not.

Star Wars was fake:) I figure the magic of digital film is somewhat detached from reality, but, the film is quite entertaining. I would suggest watching it.

I know. It’s all fake and all for fun and entertainment. And I know there are girly-girls that can take care of themselves and some not-so-girly girls that can trade blows with dudes. “If you can do the job, it’s yours.”

But Hollywood waifs—male or female—throwing bruisers around...it strains credulity.

I saw this on the Big screen (at theaters) when it first opened. I was quite looking forward to it. However, after struggling to stay awake through the whole thing, I must say that I was very, very disappointed.

It was boring as hell. It had the look and feel of one of those old European spy movies with many characters that all look and sound the same, lots of indistinguishable dialog, not much action and poorly lit.

Worthwhile if you need some kind of cure for insomnia but I don’t remember a more boring movie...maybe “The Spy Who Came in from the Cold” is close.

While I enjoyed The Avengers, they were pretty bad about using stunt doubles. I remember Benny Hill doing a spoof of The New Avengers (a reboot which also starred Patrick MacNee) as one of his sketches on his old TV show. For the fight scenes, Hill went to some trouble to stage them awkwardly and substitute an obvious stunt man for the MacNee character (played by Benny). I think he winked while doing so.

The double plot twist at the end was creative.

Spoiler:

.

.

.

.

.

.

She was a double agent, sent to look for a secret list of agents that included a traitor. No one seemed to know that she was the double agent. She was Satchel.

You learn that at the end if you haven’t figured it out.

And then...

You learn the 2nd plot twist.

Not spoiled above.

In the meantime, if you accept that she is the double agent, her killings are quite politically incorrect, and the guy the movie makes you *think* is Satchel turns out to have been one of the good guys, who she murdered.

Lots of un-PC smoking. Reagan is the good guy. Gorbachev is the bad guy.

The weak lesbian gets slayed...but only after a couple of gratuitous sex scenes!

East Germany and the CCCP get portrayed as awful places and people.

From what I can remember (I’ve only seen it once) they did actually seem to bear in mind that a woman, even a big woman (and she’s about 5’10”) can’t completely incapacitate men with their bare hands. She usually had some sort of bludgeon or weapon, or she was fighting a man who had already taken a bullet or two.

I AM a YUGE fan of the “actress” Charlize Theron.

She is drop dead gorgeous IMO. I think she is a VERY good actress.

My first exposure to her was in the film “Sweet November”. I literally fell in love with her.

“AEon Flux” was great. I love Sci-Fi.

“The Italian Job” (good movie, not so much about her), “Hancock”, “Prometheus”, all okay.

I HATED “Monster”. Not just because they made her ugly, but I thought the movie itself SUCKED! I thought her acting was AWFUL! ATROCIOUS! And she got an Oscar for best actress in that film??????????????????????

Personally and politically she’s a JERK. Think Matt Damon. BUT she is WAY better to look at!
