And that is practically the opposite of the ‘70’s. I saw a Rush documentary the other day mentioning that in the ‘70’s, they were losing money on concerts.

I imagine that was true in a number of cases. Then the market would only support a certain price range and that was from $5 to maybe $15. That was it. As I said in the other post the rock groups toured to sell records not the other way around.
The record labels supported the touring and picked up some or all the costs to sell the records. Now I doubt that is the case. They tour because that is where the money is.
