Jodie Foster is a good actress, IMO. She usually played tough, decent women characters. However, as with a lot of these people, she goes shooting her mouth off, seemingly against everything that makes our country great (masculine men, fracking, etc.).

Celebrities . . . what DON’T they know??? *grin*

I feel like the Lone Ranger in this thread, because I really like Jody Foster, Since her first movie, which I saw in 1977 or 78: Candleshoe.
She was 13 at the time, I had just bought a VCR (a Beta) and it was the first movie I ever recorded on videotape.

Foster seems to get a lot of flack due to movies I have never seen.

In addition to Candleshoe, the only other Jody Foster movies I remember enjoying and watching multiple times are Silence of the Lambs and Contact.

Smatterofack, I think I will watch Candleshoe while waiting for the New Year. Is can be streamed on Youtube...
