The NFL is approaching the playoffs looking for a ratings turnaround after a year of record-low television numbers. Outcry over players protesting by taking a knee during the national anthem isn’t helping, but it’s only one of several reasons fans are turning away from professional football, media analysts say.

I couldn’t help but watch my Dallas Cowboys play. But now that they are knocked out of playoffs, I will full time boycott the NFL. I suspect I am in a huge demographic too.

The teams are totally misogynist and need to have at least 50% of their players be women

It is a boring game and you were disloyal to your fans so live in your nests.

Should be very interesting to see the Super Bowl ratings. Wonder if the advertisers are regretting their investment.

The sad thing is, this has ripple effects on small businesses, like restaurants, pubs, local pizza places, etc.

Giving Mr Rogers a new more lucrative contract was a kick to the butt on our way out.

The NFL lost me for good.

Topless cheerleaders?

Or perhaps...

The ratings would probably outpace current NFL numbers.

The NFL has NO idea how bad things really are.

Come around June, season ticket holders will have to pay for next years seats in full. This years tickets were already sold. I bet the number of non-repeats will astound the NFL. They could have stemmed this earlier by listening to Jerry Jones. Instead they doubled down on stupid virtue signalling and re-hired Goodell. They will pay a bigger price in 2018.

And every time you think that people MIGHT forget about the protests because they’re no longer being televised, some SJW oaf like Puffy Combs comes out of the woodwork and says he wants to buy a team just so he can hire Kaepernick.

They can’t get out of their own way.

I suggest they try having their black players do some raunchy antics after touchdowns or raise their fists when they tackle a whitey....

maybe they can have some more fights...or have them beat up their girlfriends or wives..

The NFL needs to face it. They made their bed so they need to lie in it.
They should probably change their name to the Work Release League anyway. Won’t be long and they will have to have a probation officer on the payroll.

I break the boycott only when I go to my in-laws. They love football. They don’t like the protests but they won’t boycott the sport, so there TV is almost always on football when I go over there.

In all honesty, the boycott was quite easy for me. While I used to follow my team, I was never a huge fan of football and didn’t watch it on TV. I prefer baseball.

They really don’t want to admit it.

“Outcry over players protesting by taking a knee during the national anthem isn’t helping, but it’s only one of several reasons fans are turning away from professional football, media analysts say.”

“The accident victim’s head becoming separated from their torso didn’t help, but it’s only one of several reasons their ability to operate the vehicle diminished, pathologists say.”

They had to their way out. Goodell’s contract was up they could have layed the blame on that fool. Instead they extended his contract and gave him millions more. Hopeless idiots.

anyone rembember the 1994 MLB strike? i haven’t watched a MLB game since. The NFL has hosed itself by their actions in this matter. I believe that many fans are now former fans and will remain that way.

“The tale will be told in next year’s season ticket sales and renewals.”

The tale’s prologue was written during this holiday season’s diminished NFL merchandise sales. Hard to get ahold of those numbers, though...
