I still have those nightmares, too. Where I just found out that I was signed up for a class, and I never attended because I didn't know I was signed up, and the day I find out, I go to class only to find out they are taking the final and I can't answer a single question because I know absolutely nothing about the course material.
I haven't taken any kind of final since the 1990s.
You mean like the ones I have where I sign up for a difficult course and do not attend it until a couple of weeks before the final? And I have a paper due as well, and am trying to find time to start it?
All of that! Add in that I can’t even find the classroom, and too embarassed to go to the registrars to ask seeing as it is the last day of class. Also don’t forget the stairs that stop at a ceiling “Oh - I guess it must be the other stairway”.
BTW - in real life I was heading to a meeting on the 14th floor and I should have been on the 15th floor. Oh well - no problem, I took the stairs the one flight up. The door was locked! No entry to any floors from the stairwell, so I had to walk all the way down to ground level!! Making me late of course!
Stairs that go down like you want them to, then at the landing, they go back up.
In my dreams, I know darned well I signed up for the classes, but I didn't attend them or start the term papers in a timely fashion. My usual dream consists of a couple classes I actually did attend and do well, but the other couple I totally shined on until it was too late.
A home and home series between Gonzaga and Baylor would be great! It won’t surprise me at all if they arrange it one of these days.
I had to give a talk to some really important people--the kind of people whose words and actions make the news. (And yes, I could Google any of them now.) But before going to give the talk, I went to lunch and spilled barbecue sauce on my skirt. It didn't show as long as it remained wet, but when it dried, it made a big, glaringly obvious stain. And so there I was, in front of these very important people, trying desperately to hide that stain while I talked.
This real-life incident was every bit as bad as every one of those stress dreams ever was!
“...then at the landing, they go back up.”
It is so interesting how people have similar situations in dreams - even when in real-life those things aren’t even imaginable. (Although I did click on a website that DID have all sorts of building blunders - outside steps that miss the door by three feet, etc.!)
