Well I read the whole thing and I appreciate your post. You make some very good points. And you make some uncomfortable points. At least, for me.
As you know, I'm boycotting the NFL. I've been a lifelong NFL fan, but the kneeling during the anthem, and now the financial support for Marxist causes, has proven too much for me. I can't sit in front of a TV and actively root for a sports team in a league that figuratively spits on America. Just can't.
But what do I do about Microsoft? As you point out, they financially promote an agenda that is far more pernicious (and far richer) than the measly NFL. It's a real dilemma for a conservative in today's America. Nearly all our tech options are produced by companies that oppose my values. What do I do? Do I go Galt, and eschew technology?
That was a rhetorical, of course. I don't know what the answer is regarding Microsoft or Verizon, for example. I use both. After reading your post enumerating all the Marxist causes they support, it's rather infuriating. I'll be honest, I don't know what the answer is here. Do you know of any options? I was able to boycott Amazon (huge financial supporter of homosexual marriage) because there are other options, so I'm thrilled to do so. Same with me he NFL. There are other options. But where I live, I can only get Verizon. And I use Microsoft software. So Houston, we have a problem...
Anyway, thanks for the thought-provoking post!
Thanks to you both. I did a lot of research, and simply want people to consider their patronage and choices.
I will not criticize people for the choices they make, for example, buying products from China, or going to see a movie from someone who hates America, etc.
I simply feel that those of us who watch NFL should be afforded that same courtesy, which I don’t feel happens often. I have no problem at all for people who don’t watch NFL football, their cowardice in this matter offends and infuriates me too.
But it is a personal choice. Thanks for listening...now I can discuss football!
