I still work..3 days a week...in a Hosp.

But I trade stocks....4 days a week. Sometimes 5...depending.

I still like working in the Hosp....but at times...it's hard.

Same thing could be said...about trading stocks.

Retired almost 13 years ago, immediately started hospital volunteer work. Still doing it, hope to continue until I drop. It’s a labor of love.

Spent my time not worrying about what to do. I have 4, 6, and 10 mile walks. Brings back memories of what is was like being 12 during the summer. Work is for mugs. I spent 44 years being one.

I took up a job managing a tactical store that was only a mile from my home. Had a ball until the owner just decided to close the place on a whim.

I don’t do much now, once in awhile I have an old client call and ask for my services but other than that I am preparing my house here in Virginia to sell in two years when my wife retires. We will then go up to our real retirement home in the north woods of Michigan and enjoy family, friends, and I will hunt and fish every day I can to make up for the years in the military that I could not do so.

I have heard the same thing about antiques.

Including silver and crystal.

Nobody wants it any more and you can hardly give it away.

Silver is going mostly for scrap value.

Antiques, etc. were very “hot” up until 2007-2009 (depending on when people noticed) recession. During the Obama years, these collectables took a beating. I am hoping that they will pick up somewhat now that the economy is moving along so much better :)

I have tried to keep some things that have been in the family for decades and decades. It is a connection to our past that my kids seem to appreciate. All trends come and go—colors, lighting, house sizes, etc., and I think like at some point antiques will become trendy—even if only as an accent like they were in the past.

I’m glad you could help him out.

I’m helping a local guy out (within state) whom I have never met also.

Some where a long the way this guy obsconded with my cell phone number and has been trying to get a re-fi using my number. Coming up on about 50-60 calls from lending and banking institutions I have been explaining the fraudulent use of my number.

Sounds like he hasn’t got his loan yet.

Spend more time enjoying time with my wife, reading and studying history of the Middle Ages(an avocation), gardening, woodworking and enjoying days away with my wife, hopefully 1 day every two weeks where we just take off and explore the surrounding area.
At 79, my motto is: If I don’t learn or do something new everyday, I am dead!

The best one was when the CC company called me about fraudulent use of my card number.

An attempted purchase was made at a McDonalds in Mexico City. They didn’t have the right expiration date.
