The series, which will air in 10-minute episodes on MGM's digital platform "Stargate Command," will be released sometime in 2018. A new video showing highlights from the filming shows the cast and crew working in locations ranging from dunes to warehouses.

...

Fan favorite Catherine Langford (played by Ellie Gall in the new series) makes a prominent return in the new series. The video shows her standing in awe before a stargate and taking part in fight scenes....

"In this revealing footage, we get an in-depth look at some of the stunning real-life locations where filming took place, meeting new faces and set pieces along the way," the description on YouTube reads. "From sweeping dunes to rocky cliffs, these locations proved challenging to shoot in, but as we think you'll all agree, the end result was 100 percent worth it."

Loved SG-1, this thing is already a flop. How do I know?

"Stargate Origins tells the story of a young Catherine, the founding matriarch of the Stargate program...Stargate Origins tells her story as a young woman, as Catherine “embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save Earth from unimaginable darkness.”

For the same reason SGU was a total failure. After a 16 hour shift of people literally throwing shit at me and someone trying to stab me or beat me with club covered in Harley Quinn inspired designs and an hour drive home on icy roads the last thing I want to see is some feminist superhero battling space racists while having an affair with her lesbian giant protozoa sidekick.

I dont want "dark", thats real life. I dont want "drama", thats some other idiots real life that Ive been trying to avoid. I sure as hell dont need leftist propaganda swirled in on top of all that. Thats exactly what we are going to get if any of the team from the last one are involved in this one.

Sure, I can suspend disbelief for a good story. A story that comes out of the gate based on a whole lot of heavy shark jumping premises isnt going to be watched a second time. If I have to go to DU to get an encyclopedia of perverse behaviors and download a lexicon of sjw causes, Im not going to get through the first episode.

Bright adventure where the good guys win. Thats what Im looking for. A bit of dry humor, no sophmoric stupidity. Attractions between characters can be fun, no "relationships". No space racism, intergalactic anti-capitalism, or any other liberal nonsense. I just want to see good guys meeting new and interesting species and blowing them up in exciting ways with cool technology.

Simple, shallow, and formulaic? Yes, pointless escapism. This type of entertainment is exactly the place for something like that, there is already plenty of "dark" "drama" in real life.

#28 a regular military type takes over the Enterprise and tells Troy to get into something appropriate.

That is when the cleavage disappeared.
Amanda Tapping covered up too after several nice episodes.
I thought the show should be called Twin Peaks
Nerds sensed a disturbance when the cleavage disappeared.

“One of the best, most entertaining series ever made. Whiners gonna whine about the “realism” of fantasy series.”

I also enjoyed the series including Stargate Atlantis. In fact, my favorite single show was the last one filmed, Vegas, even though it had few of the regular characters. Makes one think about choices in life. Cheers.

That sounds like a scaled-down version of the Babel fish of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

The SG-1 episode “Moebius (Part II)” had the team go back to the year 3000 BC and teaching English to the people of that period, as a way of “explaining” how English somehow became a galactic lingua franca.

"Crusade is in the running for that dubious distinction."

Haven't seen that one...Will ignore it based on your assessment.

Hahaha...I loved it after the first 4 or 5 episodes. Too bad more people didn’t like it.

Not a manly man amongst them.
All seem a bit punkish, not hero types.
