We cannot touch these things because they are presumed to be dirty money.

I put 25 bucks in at the beginning of this year, just to satisfy my curiosity and play around with it and see how it worked. Later in I put another 25 or so in, again just for the heck of it because it kept going up. Later I stupidly spent some on dumb stuff and took a little out into my PayPal account. I’m currently sitting on just 300 bucks worth of BTC. I regret not putting more in, and I regret taking any out, but I hadn’t thought much of it and was just playing around because I was curious.

I have some colleagues that put several hundred in, and later took out their original investment and are just seeing where it goes and are way, way up. It’s unpredictable, but there was certainly money to be made this year. How much money is *still* to be made next year? That is much less certain. The meteoric rise might be over. Then again, when I read a prediction of 7500 by the end of 2017, I thought that was bonkers, and here we are. So I’ve been wrong before.

I’ve got a friend who prints those labels that go on the back of highways signs, and he doesn’t have a clue.

Get your feet wet. Start small. Use cold storage. Don’t keep everything in one wallet. And have fun.

The blockchain is the future. In it lies freedom.

I made my living daytrading for about 13 years. Started while I worked for a corporation. I went to work at 9 in the morning and since I’m on the west coast I traded before I went to work. Then I started trading in my office. I started making more money than I was making at my corporate job so quit and set up an office with 5 screens in my home. It was my job. I treated it just Like a real job with a daily start time, quota and everything. Then I got sick of the accounting end of trading stocks and started trading futures. Made a good living doing it but after so many years decided to retire and just enjoy life. I am the furthest thing from an investor. After having held futures for sometimes 10 minutes there was no way I could sleep and hold overnight. I know that sounds silly but I just couldn’t do it so when I retired I pulled all my money and closed m account. I have absolutely no interest in it now. When I quit I quit.....but bitcoin was on the radar and I knew nothing about it. One of my trader friends said buy some....so I did. He set the whole thing up for me and I walked away and forgot about it more or less. Woohooooooooo!!!!!! Lol

"Online I met a Nigerian General who said differently. I’m beginning to think he might not be honest."

See, that's your mistake. Ignore the broken English emails from the Nigerian generals.

Rather, it's the broken English emails from the Nigerian Princesses who are the ones you should take investment advice from.

I’ve been in for 3 days now. It was throw away money and Christmas gift to myself.

I opened up an account at Coinbase and picked up crypto wallet too.

Anyhow, I have been watching my money grown about $100 every 24 hours. Haha!

I did an even spread between Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

Coinbase works well for buying BTC, but is not for storage. Transfer the BTC to an exchange such as Brittex to purchase other cryptocurrancy, then transfer those to a wallet. Off line wallets are the most secure type.

How are you guys doing now, when BitCoin dropped below 10k?
Hope you didn't lose too much.
Are you expecting it to grow back to 20k?
