he show banked on Hillary Clinton winning in 2016 while making season 6, then recalibrated a bit midway through after Donald Trump won. Keene was originally presented as a liberal and sympathetic figure until the season’s climactic assassination attempt, after which she went on an authoritarian warpath, which is where this alternate D.C. universe finds itself now.
So the Left now dreams of the CIA conducting a coup d'etat against the US gov't.
Like what 0bama did to the US for eight years.
I wish I could make a television series about a hero that goes around “taking care” of out of control entertainment types and crazy Liberals....I bet it would do well!
Stopped watching that show the minute the American rolled out a prayer rug in his garage.
Turned it off right then.
Oh yeah - assassination-chic and “speaking truth to power” are now en Vogue again.
Because you know if Hillary had won the storyline would he stopping the evil white males from stopping their evil assassination plot because they don’t believe in democracy or the power of elections. Coz yo is... elections have consequences.
“Homeland” a nazi sounding name coined in the Bush era. And this show is about America’s own KGB... screw that.
I actually liked the first season and the conflict of was he or wouldn’t he be a terrorist.
Then they outed him at the end of the first season and it all went downhill from there.
Show finally jumped the shark last year.
Certainly won’t be watching any more. Agenda is obvious.
Never started. You could see the political bias coming from a mile away.
Just more propaganda. The old TV series “FBI” was propaganda. It never had an episode of them illegally bugging MLKs bedroom, catching him in an affair and blackmailing him to commit suicide.
Or “24” where we got more of that “if you only knew what we do to protect you” baloney.
Now “Homeland” with the backward E in the name. And who can forget the laughable “Madame Secretary”?
Now we have “Heroes”, “Navy Seals”, etc.
All of this skunky propaganda TV is getting old.
The only reason to watch the first season was to see Morena Baccarin and Melissa Benoist topless.
In defense of “24”—there were always some corrupt types trying to get rich while pretending to be intelligence officers—imho they nailed it with a certain element of our “intelligence community”.
I always hated that show!
I watched because of Peter Quinn. Loved his character. Since they killed him off I have no reason to watch. lol
