Why Nato must defend women's rights
UK Guraridan ^ | December 10, 2017 | Jens Stoltenberg and Angelina Jolie

All violence against women betrays the fundamental promise in the UN Charter of equal rights and dignity for women. It is one of the prime reasons why women remain in a subordinate position in relation to men in most parts of the world.

When this violence is committed as an act of war it tears apart families, creates mass displacement, and makes peace and reconciliation far harder to achieve. In fact, it is often designed expressly to achieve those goals as part of a military strategy.

Yea that Angelina Jolie. Even worse the co-author is the NATO General Secretary. Cue the laughing Putin gif.

I’m so silly! I expected this to be an article on the right of women in NATO countries to walk down streets safely without fear of being attacked sexually by low information immigrants.

the fundamental promise in the UN Charter of equal rights and dignity for women

The article hints that NATO is somehow the military arm of the UN and that a primary mission of NATO is to defend the UN Charter.

I guess globalists just think like that.

Does this mean that NATO will be invading and occupying the US Capitol Building?

NATO was chartered as a mutual defense alliance among western nations. It isn’t NATO’s task to nation-build in the name of “women’s rights” or any other alleged rights elsewhere in the world.

Maybe President Trump should appoint her as Ambassador to Egypt and send her there to do Jewish outreach.

In a globalist world, NATO serves only one purpose: it's the mechanism that is used to justify military intervention in situations where the U.N. Security Council doesn't sanction military intervention on its own.

See Kosovo/Serbia as a perfect case in point.

Liberal "logic" on foreign policy and so-called human rights has always been murky. Keeping Third World people out of the US and Europe to protect women and children would be "racist." Bombing Third World countries in the name of "protecting women and children" is humanitarian.

I always thought that NATO was created to defend West Germany and points east from Russian Tanks.

Guess that times have changed.

NATO doesn’t exist to protect “women’s rights” or “human rights” or any other crap like that.

It exists to protect its members from attack, mostly from the (nonexistent) Warsaw Pact.

Where do they find idiots like that?
