No offense but using mouthwash is like ancient times perfuming to mask odors, definitively a bad hygiene practice.
Odor coming from rotting food traces must be removed by brushing and flossing and not masked by mouthwash or chewing gums. In practice, brushing alone is never enough (no matter what the ads tell us), the only way to have a clean mouth is flossing, one of the best modern inventions IMHO.
Mine is more related to my OCD-like tendencies. I get my teeth cleaned every four months. I brush after every meal. I floss like a madman (my wife has to tell me to stop). I used mouthwash for the extra zing clean.
What? You've never seen pictures of "hayseed" farmers with a blade of grass or straw in their mouths? Toothcare started in the Stone Age with items like twigs and grasses.
