It is SO bad, so juvenile, self-serving, and frantic in tone, that any sane person reading it will be horrified that this woman was almost President, and had the full weight of the media complex behind her.

I’m not a fan of dry political books. O’Rourke does an excellent job with his rapier wit in describing the American political system. Another great book is “Who will tell the people?” by Will Greider.

Both of these writers contributed to Rolling Stone when the magazine was actually enjoyable reading.

“SMEAR” by Sherryl Atkisson....it helps people understand how much of the media is part of a political machine, and how lies are told continually.

I’ll second that. “Radical Son” was a very interesting read, although the first time I attempted to read it it was tough to get through David Horowitz’s academic writing style.

Most political books by O’Reilly, Hannity, and others are written to be easily digested by the public but Horowitz was a bit more challenging for me at the time.

I switched to Mona Charon’s “Useful Idiots” and it provided a good background on historical events that on a second attempt “Radical Son” was a lot easier to read.

Dave Ramsey’s books, if they are in debt, which also imparts a conservative Christian view of personal responsibility and criticism of reliance on government without being overtly political. I have family that have read that and gotten their acts together. And unlike a political book that they dismiss, READ it.

It is a powerful book...for me, it really set the stage for when I began to investigate Joseph McCarthy, and found out, contrary to everything I was ever told in my entire life, that he was a patriot and hero, not a scoundrel and villain.

Great book! He was someone involved in leftist radicalism up to his neck until the murder of a woman who worked with him and the Black Panthers.

He was definitely a liberal who saw the light after seeing the evil. There are definitely parallels to Whittaker Chambers' Witness.

Yes! Hazlitt's book is great.

I must admit, I think Thomas Sowell's excellent book Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide to The Economy" appealed to me more because it felt more readable to me, and had scads of examples of liberal economic policy that created disasters for some segment of the economy.

But I admit, on issues of race and economics, I am partial to nearly all of his work. Black Rednecks and White Liberals is an excellent work on race relations.

Thomas Sowell is black, and as a result, his arguments carry weight with me, since he knows of what he speaks. I don't think you can go wrong with any works by him, they are all universally good, and he has a large bibliography.

Definitely one of my heroes. (Whittaker Chambers, Joseph McCarthy, Admiral James Stockdale, Phyllis Schlafly, and Thomas Sowell, and my parents,just to name a few...:)

I love Atlas Shrugged, but I find it too polarizing for some people, especially someone on the edge between liberalism and conservatism, or if they are a Christian. I recommend it to people who have already realized liberalism is a dangerous hoax.

LOL, I have probably read it or listened to it 5-10 times...I skip past the long monologue, I nearly know it by heart now (only kidding, I could never do that!)

I loved Liberty and Tyranny so much I got myself a signed copy! I like Mark Levin, even though some people on this forum don't. I like his aggressive nature with respect towards liberalism. He fully sees it for the cancer it is.
