A South Carolina man was arrested on Tuesday after he became upset when a Burger King wouldnt honor his free Whopper coupon.
James Beavers, 29, is being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center without bond, according to jail records. He is facing on charges of unlawful carrying of a pistol and two counts of unlawful pointing and presenting a firearm.
A manager told Spartanburg County Sheriffs deputies that Beavers had become upset when the restaurant wouldnt honor free whopper coupons he was attempting to use at the drive-thru window, Fox Carolina reported.
Staffers said Beavers drove off, then back around the drive-thru window a second time with a gun on his lap pointed in the direction of restaurant employees, according to Fox Carolina.
He pulled up to the window, he continued to keep cussing and then thats when he pointed a gun at me and the girl manager, one of the managers told Fox Carolina. Beavers told staffers he would return before driving off.
Deputies spotted Beavers vehicle on their way to the call at his home, according to WSPA. He told deputies that he had gotten into an argument with the manager at Burger King over the coupon.
Beavers also said that the manager disrespected him when the manager told him to come back when he had money, WSPA reported. He told deputies that he had his gun in his SUV but didnt point or present it to the manager. He also said that he didnt have a concealed weapons permit for the pistol he had in the center console of his SUV.
Surveillance video captured Beavers arguing with the Burger King manager, but did not show him presenting or pointing the gun, both WSPA and Fox Carolina reported.
Hold the pickles
Hold the lettuce
Pull your gun and you’ll upset us
And we’ll ask the cops to come and take you away.
I used to stand in line and hand out my extras. Gotta stick it to the ma.
never get between a redneck and anything that’s “Free”...ESPECIALLY T-SHIRTS.
I went to Burger King and ordered a cheeseburger with slaw and chili, the lady said we dont have chili. I said, lady, this is Burger King, I’m supposed to have it my way!
“Ive used those once in a while to save a couple of bucks.”....
Not sure what was on the coupon but sounds like telling the gun to come back when he had money may have been a key to the denial.
Who still eats at a Burger King or any other similar places? With so many “brain dead” pot smoking kids working in those places, one never knows what they put on your food. Guess that can happen at a lot of food establishments but I’ll take my chances.
“No mention of the reason for denying him use of the coupon. “
Probably some fake meme he printed off Facebook. My friends always fall for those
Maybe it was a bogus coupon he printed out.
Yes, I'd like a bucket of chicken and a small pepperoni pizza...a couple of cold IPAs.
I had a Japanese roommate once. He came back to our dorm room overjoyed with an experience he had that day. He said he had gone with a friend to Spurpenbag and had a Hooper.
It took me quite a while to realize that he had gone to Spartanburg and had a Whopper
Based on the photo, he’s got the looks to go with the name.
And some Whammy fries....
Mental illness and maybe living in his car. Probably better off in jail than on the street. At least he gets 3 hots and a cot. This world s8cks.
We do, from time to time. Quick, convenient and adequate. I'm not big on gourmet dining! And the buy two-get one free coupons for my local sub shop (excellent subs) are overkill when just the two of us are home. Great for when the kids are visiting, though.
Either our local BK never did that or did it during a period of my absence.
The new "social justice" crime.

I bet you are right...
My son worked for D&D for a while..
They probably had a dozen times fake faceboob coupons hit the store...
Finally they put up a copy of it on the door with “Fake Coupon” on it...
They still had people claim it was real...
You missed all the fun!
