Being from Kansas City, I had never heard or heard of Bruce Springsteen until he was on the cover of Time magazine. In 1979, I moved to NY to finish high school, and learned 2 things: The first was just how big a deal he was on the east coast. The second was just how much I hated his music. And I really couldn't care less about what he or his band "loathes."
