About time to get that boy in the gym.

Actually, no. Lifting weights before around age 16 can damage the growth plates in bones, which are still growing. Best to just stay active. Play a variety of sports. Do some pushups.

Running, swimming, calisthenics and some climbing are all he needs at this point.

Running and swimming are both excellent muscle building activities for youngsters that don’t harm a growing body.
