You are making an embarrassment of yourself, and normally your standards are higher than this.
The woman wasn't “complaining.”
She was shoveling out derogatory epithets.
Perhaps she might have considered not vomiting out the “Manspreading” term and using ladylike behavior.
Just a possibility.
We will never know if that might have produced a different result because the woman was uncivil to begin with.
Don't go all Gloria Steinem on us and keep insisting there is not a predictable and earned consequence for her attitude.
Women who reject the concept of being ladies like this one did forfeit the expectation of men behaving as gentlemen.
The concept is that of a social contract. Replacing it with a sense of unbridled entitlement as this woman has done is like a Sheep looking for wolves outside the herd and charging them.
That gets what she was getting here. Through no planning of her own there was an off duty sheep dog to rescue her from the consequences she engendered.
I was in error, on one point. According to the article, she didn’t actually “complain”. She simply asked him to stop crowding her. Afterwards, after he had punched her in the face and said to her what he did, she used the f-word a few times. But you can't blame her for being upset at that point, can you?
