That is a dangerous attitude to promulgate on our side. Nobody can predict the outcome of a fight. That little dude could have whipped out a 1.5” blade and nicked an artery in a second. Action beats reaction, and size, and even superior skill is no guarantee. It was nice of the guy to do, but given the broad is probably a leftist, it was also somewhat stupid.
When SHTF, you have to assume every conflict can be lethal. As far as I am concerned, leftists and those highly likely to be leftists are not worth it. You need to view it as you are either loyal to your own, and will do whatever it takes to get home and take care of your family, or you are more loyal to the leftists, who created the entire mess themselves anyway, and you will risk your family’s safety and security for them.

Yes, that of course is very true. I was thinking more along the lines of a straight up one-on-one between them, as opposed to the punk's straight up with the young lady.
Not necessarily a leftist, but most likely liberal. Then again, it is possible that she was republican, despite the 'manspreader' terminology. I've lived in New York City all but one of my 60 years, and, believe it or not, there are quite a few republicans and even conservatives here, even among types who, in appearance, *look* like liberals, or even hard lefties.
