Nationwide was not on their side. False advertising.
Read the article.
Usually with a shotgun.
Stranger things have happened in central PA but we dont talk about them.
It's what keeps the libs cowering in the corners of the state.
More than likely he was an unofficial stooge of the police. As an adjuster, he has the ability to get onto private property invited. While there, he spends his time snooping for things he has been asked to look for by one of his police pals. My advice is even when allowing anyone onto your property, control what they do....never let anyone wander around not escorted. In this case, the guy was taking pictures of plants in the back yard. My first question were I there would have been of what interest is my plants to you in this matter.
Or read post #11.
This was malicious. Needs fed civil rights prosecution. And the couple should own 51% of Nationwide.
Article doesn’t say but I would hope the couple counted the silverware afterwards.
For those not particularly familiar with hibiscus tea, of the many varieties of hibiscus, the Jamaican hibiscus is known for its bright red, lemon-ish flavored tea. It is especially popular among Hispanics.

odd note: a small number of people experience a hallucinatory effect from the tea, but it is not common. Its bright red color can stain, so it’s good to avoid that.
Thanks for the pictures. Not even close!
I’ve noticed that most people are very poor at recognizing plants. Jesus must have noticed that too, which I believe is why he simplified things by saying, “By their fruits shall ye know them.”
In this case, the insurance adjuster should be personally liable, IMHO.
Honey, hide the ficus.
Two stories. First some friends in the early 70s took a pill to a dumb cop in our small town and told him they thought it was LSD and they’d tell him where they got it if he’d get it confirmed it was LSD. He sent it off to the state crime lab. It was a birth control pill.
Two. I managed a home building office in the 80s and we opened a new model home park. The dirt for the flower beds was “harvested” from the Brazos River bottoms. One day a salesman walked in and said “Did you know there’s a marijuana plant growing out front?” I was busy as heck and never noticed it. The damn thing was 4 feet tall. I called the sheriff’s department to come and get it. I told my boss and he said “If there’s anymore call me!”
Nationwide claims adjusters took pictures and turned them over to police, claiming the couple was growing marijuana.
I would assume they are suing Nationwide for hiring stupid people.
If we just enforced existing laws, none of this would happen.
Arrest and Charge ALL of them, including the Judge that signed a Warrant with no probable cause listed with:
Felony Kidnapping
Armed Home Invasion
COnspiracy to commit Kidnapping
Using a Firearm during the commission of a violent felony
problem solved
Did the cops realize their mistake when they tried smoking some?
Trying to figure out from this why it is that the insurance company is getting sued
The Texas Star Hibiscus leaf looks amazingly similar to weed.
“According to the complaint, Yeamans intentionally photographed the flowering hibiscus plants in such a manner as not to reveal that they had flowers on them so that they would appear to resemble marijuana plants.
Lurker...If your hibiscus is anything like our hibiscus...there’s no way photos could’ve been taken without showing flowers (...as long as the plants were in blooming season). Our blooms are prolific and as big as a man’s hand.
Presumably it was roselle hibiscus, whose leaves look a bit like MJ. Not close enough to be mistaken by a cop who says he's an 'expert'.
“Did the cops realize their mistake when they tried smoking some?”
No...only when, after smoking some, the overwhelming desire to eat two dozen doughnuts failed to manifest itself.
