Saving Roy Moore Isn’t Worth It
National Review ^ | November 9, 2017 | David French

Posted on 11/09/2017 4:11:34 PM PST by WatchungEagle

"Roy Moore is a dangerous man who never should have received the GOP nomination. Republican primary voters selected as their champion a person who seeks to suppress the civil rights of his fellow citizens and defies the law whenever it suits his ideological and political purposes. Even before today’s allegations, he was unfit to be a United States senator. Now the question is whether he’s dangerous, unfit, and vile.

The Alabama GOP options for replacing him on the ballot are limited, at best. It’s time to consider a write-in challenge, and if he wins the election, the Senate should consider expelling him from the body. He does not belong in American government."

Another committed anti-Trumper goes after Roy Moore? Hard to imagine.

Man, I wish I could live in this Freeper-induced lollipop-unicorn world, but like Rush says, "I'm the mayor of Realville". Moore is done, toast, finished. The media will crucify and hound him over this for as long as it takes until he drops out. Ruining a man's life is child's play to these evil b@stards, and they're not about to lose their precious Revolution to a God-fearing gun-toting solid conservative like Judge Roy Moore.

In a sane world he would prevail, but this Republic was lost the day Ronaldus Magnus stepped out of the White House for the last time and onto Air Force 1 to fly off into history. The lunatics are running the asylum now whether we like it or not.

WTF is RUSH babbling about??!! This is Alabama!!! We don't need Independents to win!!! We just need a UNIFIED Republican Party!

Roy ain't "the Elite's" only target here.

Waiting to hear ‘41’ and ‘43’ proclaim that if they lived in Alabama they wouldn’t vote for Roy Moore.

I'm curious about why so many seem to be so emotionally engaged. Doesn't anyone around here seem to understand that there is an ongoing (cold) civil war for control the republic?

Why should anyone waste any energy being upset about tactics utilized by the enemy? After all, they are fighting for their very lives, as are we. Has anyone, at any time, been personally outraged when the enemy has taken a shot at them? No, because that's what they are supposed to do. And your/our job is to defeat them.

While 'normal' people pursued trade/professional jobs, learning their craft(s) over time, politicians never gave one moment's thought towards wasting their time learning/operating functional utility. The result are 10s of millions of people who work & play by the "rules", while the deep state players moved right on to power & control 101.

When swamp dwellers do what they do best, "normies" tend to get outraged. Here's a pro tip: don't. Remember always that they are not as smart as you. They could never design an airplane, build a house, or cure disease. They took a short-cut; their play-book is thin.

Because they aren't that bright, they keep going back to the plays that have worked before. Same old, same old: sex, and coordinate outrage. Really, it's kinda boring, and if Trump demonstrated anything, it's not that effective if countered effectively.

Never forget this is holy quest to determine if commoners can choose self-government, or whether criminals & charlatans can fool enough people to give them (legal) control over the police & military apparatus to make YOU do what they want.

Uh huh. Wherewas this horseshiite before the primary? Where was it when he was running for Supreme Court again? Like with the Access Hollywood crap they wait till a month before the election, uh-huh, I wonder what the motive might be. This is practically a GD carbon copy of the Trump allegations only with even less "evidence".

A little outrage doesn’t hurt.

It serves as a reminder that they are Machiavellian players, not men of honor.

It serves to remind us that they are desperately struggling to keep control of their positions. They really are not in defense of their lives.

But, yes, we are in a cold civil war.

A big problem is sorting out the allies, traitors, renegades and factions of the opposition.

Ah ha. So this is all about bringing Bannon down a peg because of Bannon’s fight against these RINOs.

The elite picked a wrong fight because BB and Bannon along with their friends throughout alt media will fight back harder.

I bet National Review also think John McCain is a good conservative.

Hell, they went out of their way to endorse him in the 2012 GOP primary against J.D. Hayworth. Since when does NR make Senate primary endorsements?

The beautiful thing about the 'net, is that any informed citizen can see the battlefield just as clearly as Napoleon sitting on his horse on a hill.

The opposition knows this is not going to work against Moore. Rather, it's just a skirmish to test the periphery before the great battle of 2018 begins in earnest.

The enemy has already outed themselves by identifying Bannon as the true target. So, now anyone with a clue knows what this is really all about.

2018 is for all the marbles. Trump loses Congress, say hello to impeachment. Trump takes Congress, good-bye deep state. Possibly for good.

It's not even about money. Every senator and many/most reps are already financially comfortable. Rather, this is just a pissing contest between people who really have nothing else going on in their lives.

By not developing true skills and authentic family/community networks, they're just hollow shells. Like drug addicts, they're constantly looking for their next fix. This is just a game to them; it's what gets their dopamine receptors firing as they excitedly meet over dinner & cocktails.

But everyone should remember that they just aren't that smart. They could never function in normal society where you have to have skills and deliver value. So, as you observe their ridiculous game plan unfold, jump ahead to where it gets interesting with Trump/Bannon vs DNC/RNC uni-party.

This is the problem we face: no one in the republican party is willing to fight for anything, ever.

What are you talking about? They're fighting right now--really hard. What you don't realize is that the enemy is their conservative base. They are very willing to fight tooth and nail against---us.

I also subscribed for years but stopped several years back. Probably about 12 as well, but unsure now.

After the No Trump abomination last year, I never clicked on their site again and never shall. I consider them to worse than the ‘fake media’ and ESPN included.

I have better things to do with my time and money than support my adversaries. Glad I gave up my Patriots Season Tickets years ago as well.

This is all sickening, but I can be one stubborn old curmudgeon and so I am.

I was told the correct term was "Alabamians", but I'm a transplant, so that could be wrong.

Sure, I bet he endorsed Luther Strange and worked his butt off campaigning for him in the primary because he secretly hoped Moore would defeat his candidate.

And maybe the Dems are secretly hoping this "sexual harassment" smear helps Moore win!
