They’ve been hunting that way in Europe for thousands of years, with unarmed beaters driving game to the shooters. It’s uncommon because deer don’t usually turn on them and attack. One freak occurrence doesn’t make them all stupid.

They should improve their technique over a few thousand years. That is what most people do as technology improves. For example, our hunters just lay an ambush for poor unsuspecting deer and then shoot them from afar from high in a tree.

The European method does seem more sporting given the state of the art here in the US, doesn't it?
